The Searcher
I am walking down a dark road
looking for you.
Are you in one of the houses,
or are you driving past me?
Am I going the right way
or moving farther from
your embrace I so long for?
I know I will find you,
but how much longer must I walk?
My legs are growing tired
and the night is closing in.
I need you.
Where are you?

Thats very good. What inspired you to write that poem?
To tell the truth, I was reading the Wolfblade Trilogy, which is really kind of like a soap opera in a book. Yeah, I wouldn't expect me to read a soap opera either, but it is really good. Anyway, one of the characters, Starros, is torn away from the woman he loves, Leila. I was trying to put myself into his shoes and imagine what it would be like to have something like that happen.
Its good you read stuff like that. There arn't many who would have a wide taste in books, so to speak. Anyways, you did a very good job. I personally think poems are very hard to write, but I do enjoy reading them.
